About the game
What is Azeroth Survivors?
A free, fan-made survivors roguelike set in classic World of Warcraft. You pick one of 9 classes, move while your spells cast themselves, and survive five timed bosses per zone across 12 zones.
Who made Azeroth Survivors?
Aethus. The character screen reads "Made by Aethus (zuzia miau miau)". The game runs on a from-scratch WoW 1.12 client engine written in Rust and compiled to WebAssembly.
Is Azeroth Survivors free?
Yes. There is no price, no account and no shop; only an optional "Buy me a coffee" link.
Is it affiliated with Blizzard?
No. It is a fan project, not affiliated with or endorsed by Blizzard Entertainment. This guide is independent of both.
Is Azeroth Survivors multiplayer?
No. It is single-player. The Discord is where players share runs and builds.
Is it like Vampire Survivors?
Yes in structure: automatic attacks, growing hordes, level-up choices and timed bosses. It adds WoW classes, talent trees, zones and permanent boss gear.
Playing
Where can I play Azeroth Survivors?
At wow.aethus.pl in a browser with WebGPU, or with the official Windows download linked on that page.
Can I play on Mac?
Yes, in a current Safari or Chrome with WebGPU. The download on the official page is for Windows.
Can I play on a phone or Steam Deck?
The browser version includes touch controls and supports gamepads, so phones and handhelds can work if their browser has WebGPU. Phone graphics drivers can crash while shaders build; we tested on desktop.
How long is a run?
Up to 16 minutes in Elwynn Forest, where Edwin VanCleef arrives at 16:00. After a win you can continue in endless mode; achievements reward reaching 25, 30 and 40 minutes.
How many spells can I have?
Six spell slots per run. Further level-ups rank up spells you already know.
How do rerolls work?
Press R. You get 3 free rerolls per run (more with the Second Thoughts perk); after that rerolls cost gold.
Progression
What carries over between runs?
Talent experience and points, gear and opened zones (per class), plus account-wide achievements, perks, companions and tabards.
How do I unlock more zones?
Kill the final boss of the current zone. For example, Edwin VanCleef opens Duskwood. Each class unlocks zones separately.
How many talent points are there?
51 per class, earned from talent experience. The first point needs 80 experience.
Do I lose progress if I clear my browser?
Yes, unless you exported a save. Use Options → Saves → Export Save to keep a copy.
Can I use addons?
Yes. Options → AddOns installs .zip addons made for WoW 1.12; they load on your next run.
